Bruxism Tray / Night Guard / Bite Splint
Bruxism tray is a removable tray made of a clear, medical grade acrylic, which is custom-fit to either your upper or lower teeth and worn at night to protect the teeth from grinding in your sleep.
Teeth grinding can be caused not only by stress and anxiety but by sleep disorders, an abnormal bite or teeth that are missing or crooked. The symptoms of teeth grinding include:
- Dull headaches
- Jaw soreness
- Teeth that are painful or loose
- Fractured teeth
Some possible causes of teeth grinding in children include:
- Irritation in the mouth
- Allergies
- Misaligned teeth
Caries/Decay Detection
Tooth decay if not identified at an early stage can cause permanent damage to the tooth, leading to pus formation pain and swelling. It can also spread among other teeth. It is caused by excessive consumption of sugar, inappropriate eating and brushing habits, chewing tobacco, smoking and consumption of alcohol. Crack and small cavities are a sign of tooth decay and they can be seen with naked eyes. If the tooth feels soft and catching when probed by a dental instrument, it is understood that the tooth has decayed and needs immediate attention before the cavity get larger and affect deeper layers of the tooth.

Fissure Sealant For Children
Fissure sealants protect the deep grooves as well as small gaps in between the teeth to prevent food particles that get caught in the teeth. It minimizes dental decay and can be applied to both milk teeth and adult teeth.
Sealants are composite filling materials that act as a barrier for plaque. It is a simple procedure which only takes a few minutes. The tooth is thoroughly cleaned, and then the surface of the tooth is roughened so that the sealant can be bonded to the tooth. Your dentist will apply the sealant and it hardens almost immediately.
Recommended for:
- Teeth that prone to tooth decay
- Children and teenagers – as soon as the first permanent back teeth appear or any time throughout the cavity prone years of 6 – 16 years old
- Adults – tooth surfaces without decay that have deep groves or depressions
- Baby teeth – occasionally done if teeth have deep grooves or depressions and child is cavity prone
Orthoplus
The aim of this Functional Education Therapy is to remove excessive forces of muscles on the jaw bone and teeth, to correct the position of the tongue, to center the lower jaw to be in harmony with the upper jaw, to train the individual to have correct swallowing and correct breathing. The minimum therapy duration is 6 months of everyday use.
Functional education devices in the Orthoplus line exert combined actions, including Tongue positioning, Lips training, Mandibular growth release, Tooth pre-alignment, Habit corrector.
Topical Fluoride Treatment
For most of our patients, this may be the final and favourite part of the dental cleaning! Fluoride comes in many different flavours such as chocolate, mint, strawberry and cherry. Make no mistake though, this in-office fluoride treatment is meant for topical use only on the teeth.
Although most people receive fluoride from food and drinking water, sometimes it is not enough to help prevent decay. Topical fluoride strengthens the teeth once they have erupted by seeping into the outer surface of the tooth enamel, making the teeth more resistant to decay. We generally recommend that children have a professional application of fluoride twice a year during routine dental check-ups.
Fluoride foam or gel is then placed into small, flexible foam trays and placed over the teeth for 30 seconds. Afterwards your child is directed to spit as much out as possible. The fluoride helps to strengthen the teeth since the acids from bacteria in dental plaque and tartar will have weakened the surfaces. It is best not to eat, drink or rinse for 30 minutes after the fluoride application.
